Shipping Information

Please read all the Delivery information.
We update this page in some particular cases: natural disasters, pandemics, reduced air traffic, etc... which could directly or indirectly affect the delivery time.

Out-of-stock items

If your order contains an out-of-stock item, you will be informed within 48 working hours.
You will have the possibility to receive a voucher of the same value or a refund.


The coupon only applies to products, not to transport costs.
If you do not use the total value of your voucher, another will be generated automatically with the rest.

Parcel tracking

You are responsible for tracking your package.
Your tracking number will be given to you the day your order is shipped.
You can confirm your order is Shipped on your Order History page.
Click on details if you want to see more information about your order.
You will receive a confirmation email on the day your package is shipped. Please also check your SPAM and accept emails from Meccha Japan if our messages arrive in this category.
It is important that you track your package with your tracking number, in some countries, and cities, postal workers do not respect the delivery process. In some cases, you will not be notified of the attempted delivery or the fact that your package is waiting to be picked up at your post office. If the package is returned to us for the reason: "no claim". you will have to pay again the shipping costs for the return of your package. The refund of your order in this case is not accepted.

Volume charges (DHL and FedEx)

If you choose the DHL or FedEx shipping method, we may contact you on the day your package is shipped to inform you that you must either pay an additional fee to complete the shipment by DHL or FedEx or change your shipping method to EMS as this option may reduce the additional shipping fee.
The reason is that DHL and FedEx set their prices on a "volume weight" basis and not on an "actual weight" basis. The delivery price, therefore, changes according to the size of your package and not the weight. Since our internal system is set to "actual weight" there are sometimes differences between the shipping fee you paid and the actual shipping fee.


If you reside in South America: we need your Tax ID for DHL deliveries.
DHL does not accept APO military addresses.

Please note the tracking details will not be updated while the package is in transit.
The tracking information will be updated once your package has reached its destination country.
That means your tracking details will not be updated for a very long period of time.
If your order has not been updated after 12 weeks, you can contact us, we will be able to start an investigation with Japan Post.
If you contact us before the 12-week timeline we will not be able to start an investigation.

TCSA certification (FedEx USA)

Please note that packages with products containing liquids (Example: Ball Pens, Drink, Cosmetics), require a TCSA certification to be imported into the US when using FedEx services.
This form is to be completed by the importer (customer). Please find all the necessary information for your package to be delivered.

Important information :
  • DHL remains available for all countries.
  • AIR and EMS shipping methods are still available in many countries, check the status of these shipping methods in your country of residence in the Restricted Countries List.
  • The SAL shipping method is now unavailable for all countries.
  • The transit time for packages is longer than normal, please be patient and track your package closely using the tracking number we provide.
  • Even if your package is shipped on Day 1, your order will take some time before leaving Japan due to the current international flight situation.
  • Please understand that regardless of the shipping method you choose your package may take up to 1-2 months maximum before it reaches its destination except for the DHL Express or FedEx International Priority shipping method.


Payment for pre-orders is debited on the day of the order.
If you order in-stock products with pre-order products, we will ship your order once the pre-order products are available.
The size and weight of the item are based on an estimate provided by the manufacturer prior to the release date. It is possible that this information is incorrect, in which case we will contact you.
The release date is subject to change, it depends entirely on the manufacturer. If this is the case, the product page will always show the latest information received regarding the availability date. A refund is not accepted due to a delayed release date.
Some pre-order products may be advertised with bonus items. These bonus items are available in limited quantities. Bonus items will only be included in first-come, first-served orders.
Your order will be shipped on the day the product is released in Japan or a few days after.


You have the possibility to change the delivery address at any time.
To do so, follow these instructions:

We will update your address within 48 hours of your notification.

If you do not see any change in the delivery address page after 48 hours, please contact us again.


A 10% cancellation fee will be charged if you cancel your order.

If the status of your package has not changed for more than 15 days. Then contact us and your local Post Office
Local holidays, Christmas period, Unusual period
End of November to January, Storm, Pandemic, and other disasters.
If the status of your package has not changed for more than 25 days. Then contact us and your local Post Office

Slow delivery (Boat)

If the status of your package has not changed for more than 12 weeks. Then contact us and your local Post Office

Order Tracking Status

Please note the order status "Dispatch from outward office of exchange" mean that your package left Japan, the next update will be done by your national customs office or local post office.


We will start an investigation with the Japan Post to find out the exact location of your package.
This survey can take up to 3 months but usually takes between 5 and 8 weeks.
Please note that it is possible that you may receive your package before the end of the investigation.


Once the result of the investigation is delivered to meccha-japan, we will proceed to the full refund of your transaction if the package is lost.
The only 2 other possible cases are delivery to your home or return of the package to our warehouse. If the package is back in our warehouse, we will contact you to explain to you the procedure to follow for the return of your package.


In case of absence on your package's delivery day, a delivery notice will be left for you.
If this is not the case, you have 7 days to go to the post office and claim your package. If you do not, your package will be returned to us.
In case of absence, unclaimed package, or insufficient or incomplete address, We are in no way responsible and you will therefore be liable for shipping costs for the return of your package.
The exception of a delay in delivery is not a reason for a refund.


In case of detention by customs.
What the customs officers might say:
"The invoice was not included or was not outside the box."
"It was a gift marked or not."
"The product is forbidden."
"The invoice was in English."
These tactics are to hold the package and get the customer to bring the original invoice. If you have a personalized invoice, be sure to bring it with you. You can download it in your Order History.
We ALWAYS include the invoice on the outside of the package next to the shipping label. We also do not send prohibited items. Invoices are always printed in English and are not the reason why the package is being held. Being a marked gift does not affect customs charges.


You will be fully refunded if :
  • The product does not match the description
  • The package does not arrive at the destination "lost package".
  • *The product is damaged
You have 7 days to contact us as soon as you receive your order.
If this deadline is not respected, no refund will be possible.
*An inspection of your product will be made via the photos you send us. Depending on the seriousness of the problem, a refund of 10 to 100% of the value of the product can be made.


Be aware, Import Duty are not included

Customs is a center of your government that collects tax on imported goods.
This tax belongs entirely to your government and NOT to meccha-japan.
Packages from around the world are randomly selected for inspection, during this inspection import duties may be levied.
Currently, this represents 5 to 15% of our customers.
us.png USA: there is no import duty for packages under $1,600.
This value is different for all countries, please check with your government laws what is the minimum value on import duties.

For European residents only, please note due to the new law of 1st July 2021, there will be a tax on all orders you make as we are located in Japan.
Please contact your national post authorities to know the exact value of tax you will need to pay to receive your package.


We advise you to contact us if you wish to return your product for any reason.
We always offer several options to satisfy our customers.
The return of the ordered item(s) is possible, the shipment must be made within seven days from the day of receipt of your package. If this period is exceeded, the return, refund, or replacement of the product will not be accepted.
Some products such as card displays cannot be returned.
Customers are responsible for the shipping fee to ship backorder.


Neither of the parties will have failed in its contractual obligations, insofar as their execution will be delayed, hindered, or prevented by a case of force majeure. Will be considered as a case of force majeure any fact or circumstance irresistible, external to the parties, unforeseeable, inevitable, independent of the will of the parties.
The party affected by such circumstances will notify the other within ten business days of becoming aware of them.
The two parties will then, within a period of three months, unless impossible due to force majeure, meet to examine the impact of the event and agree on the conditions under which the execution of the contract will be continued.
If the case of force majeure lasts longer than one month, the present general conditions may be terminated by the injured party.


Any order taken for a product appearing in the online store of (the seller's website) implies the prior consultation and acceptance of these general conditions of sale. The present general terms and conditions are intended to define the rights and obligations of the parties within the framework of the online sale of goods offered by the Seller to the Consumer.
